Who is the event for?

Coed:Code is a warm, fun and encouraging event looking at systems and infrastructure programming. We are crafting a social event designed to give diversity in tech a nudge. The speakers will be women and those from other typically under represented backgrounds in technology. Everyone is welcome.

What is happening?

Coed:Code is a mixer event. Some speakers, a panel, but mostly a chance to meet and speak to people within the business.

This is about encouraging more women into systems programming – Go, Containers, Docker, PaaS, Distributed systems, Databases & more. The idea of the event is to meet and network with real practitioners and mentors.  So, if you are into systems programming, infrastructure programming, devops (or looking to find out more about them), then this is an event you don’t want to miss.  The keynote speaker is a veteran in the industry and the panel members are comprised of veterans and someone fairly new to the industry, so a good mix!

About the mentors

Coed:Code Mentors are the heart of the events and community. Mentors are people who have knowledge of and who work within  the systems programming space. Mentors will be clearly visible at the event, e.g. wearing a badge.

By being a mentor, you say it’s fine to approach me and pester me with questions. The mentor status is an opportunity to setup relationships that lasts further than the scope of the evening and to help to develop attendee prospects in the space.

Food and Drink

Food and drink will be provided during the event, courtesy of sponsors.
